Personally as a woman, the only reason to wear a thong is to avoid having underwear lines show through your clothes. Because men's pants are much looser fitting, there is no need for a thong. So why would you be wearing a thong? If it's because you're wearing tight pants or you want to show off your butt naked, I would say that is a pretty "gay" thing to do. I'm not supporting the stereotype, just telling it like it is.
