It is really hard to tell. The fake ones look so much like the real one. They even have the correct serial numbers and everything. I suggest not buying anything unless you purchase it from a gucci store!!!!!!!!!!!
Smell them.
There are several ways to tell if a piece of Gucci jewelry is fake or not. If it is marked 'Made in China' it is a fake. It should have a serial number and say 'Made in Italy.' If not, it is fake. The only way to guarantee a real Gucci is to buy only from Gucci.
Usually a fake will have the Gucci sign glued on instead of sewn but sometimes they are sewn on and then you can't really tell.
There are subtle differences between a good fake and a real Gucci watch. Usually the face of an authentic Gucci and that of a fake vary only slightly. These may be small differences in the plating of the face, the encasing of the face, the way the numbers are located on the face, and even the way the minute and hour hand move. The real Gucci watch will likely have very smooth moving hands and will always keep time beautifully. Your fake Gucci watch will still be beautiful, but the hour and minute hand on your watch won't seem to glide along the face of the watch but many people don't notice this anyway and like the fact that the watch does just what it should: keep time!A fake Gucci watch will generally be lighter than the real thing, as well. If you are looking at a replica of a gold Gucci watch, you can buy a gold plated replica that will look almost like the real thing for a lot less. Instead of paying several thousand for a gold Gucci watch you can pay several hundred. Because the watch is simply gold plated it will be much lighter, but unless you take it off and allow others to weigh it most will never suspect it isn't the real thing. Another thing about the fake Gucci watch is that the links in the band or bracelet will be hollow, also adding to its lighter weight.
Fakes might have slightly darker color of brown on the side.
If it a good fake, its hard to tell. If the stitching is 'sloppy' like uneven or wavy around curves, it might be fake. One way is to compare it to one you know for sure is real.
One can know if a watch is fake by consulting the Chronocentric website. The website has a number of tips that allow one to tell if a watch is real or if it is fake.
The best way to tell if a Breil watch is fake is to take it to an authorized dealer. If purchasing, the best thing is to only purchase from a trusted location.
One hint is that they should be made in Italy. If you contact the actual manufacture they will often help you verify as well.

There are many ways to tell when something is fake. Here are just a few sure ways to tell... 1. Look at the stitching. High end companies (Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Prada..etc) will not have anything with poor stitching out in their stores. 2. Is the leather real or fake? Again high end will not use fake leather. 3. Their trademark/makers mark. All of these companies will have their label/mark either imprinted or sewn or in another way attached to the product. Easy way to tell...go to a Gucci store, look carefully at the label, then compare!
