Well this is a tough question. as it all depends on the dog some don't some do but generally they get along pretty well but if they don't i suggest seperatoing the two or more dogs. if your looking to buy one and you have a dog at home try to get them to meet at first and see how they like each other.
well i have a border terrier named otto and when he was a puppy he would take on any MALE dog but he is strangly polite with female dogs ....he does behave around male dogs that are smaller than him ...they are great dogs though..however since they are terriers they have VERY VERY VERY strong jaws that you can get open its really up to them when they let go of anything(when otto was a puppy we took him on a walk and hee jumped up on a rotwilers nose and wouldn't let go :/ he was only a month old and hurt a dog 10x his size :/)
