Yes, boy yorkies are more aggressive than girl yorkies. They are showing dominance.
The female because of her being able to give birth
A group of Yorkshire Terriers is commonly referred to as a "pack." While there isn't a specific term exclusively for Yorkshire Terriers, "pack" is a general term used for any group of dogs. Alternatively, you might also hear them called a "gaggle" or "herd" in a more informal context.
Every animal of every species of every breed is an individual. It is highly likely that some will develop more slowly than others, including Yorkshire Terriers.
7 lbs. is the limit for a showdog Yorkie....anything more than that needs a diet!
Traditional Yorkshire Terriers typically have a smaller size, a longer coat, and a more compact body compared to other types of Yorkies. They also tend to have a more classic appearance with a blue and tan coat coloration.
On the book animal planet Yorkshire terrier said a healthy yorkie will romp and play for up to 15 years!!! Sometimes yorkies can live to 25 or more. The average is between ten and sixteen.
Anywhere from 3 and a half to 5 pounds. Any less or more than that and they have a weight problem
Chocolate is poisonous to every dog breed and may kill them. Yorkshire Terriers are no different. If you have already given chocolate to your Yorkie then don't give any more. An overdose will lead to early death.
A yorkie is the same type of dog as a yorkshire terrier so they bark about the same amount. The term "yorkie" is just a shorter nickname for the yorkshire terrier. It also depends where you live if you live in the city they will bark alot and if you live in the country they dont bark as much.
Yorkshire terriers are very small dogs. They are never to weigh more than 7 pounds. When I adopted my three-month-old male Yorkshire Terrier puppy, he was three pounds, and he was the largest one of the four-puppy litter. His mother was seven pounds and his father was five pounds. He is now more than four months old and weighs about five and a half pounds. He is a very healthy puppy and eats well. He is an "average" Yorkshire Terrier puppy at this age, just to give you an example. Ours varies between 4.1 and 4.5 lbs. I'm told that he is on the smaller end of the spectrum
Because pitbulls are terriers, and all terriers are naturally dog-aggressive. Whether it's a Boston Terrier, or a Jack Russell, or a pit, they almost all have issues with other dogs. Obviously this is a spectrum, where some are more tolerant than others. Terriers tend to be less dog-aggressive as puppies, with many becoming less tolerant as they mature (especially if you don't spay/neuter!).
Yorkshire Terriers are affectionate towards their people as one would expect from a companion dog, but true to their terrier heritage, they're sometimes suspicious of strangers, and will bark at strange sounds and intruders. In consideration of your neighbors, it's important to tone down their yappiness and teach them when and when not to bark. more information: http://dogtime.com/yorkshire-terrier.html
