Of course you can burn China Berry wood. Last summer I took down a long dead 30' tree. Most of it has gone into the wood stove. Mature, large China Berry wood is very beautiful on the inside. A pale lavender when first cut or split. After exposure to sunlight & air it turns a very nice reddish brown on the surface. It is also very hard and burns quite hot.
