Yes, very smart. I have two and they look at my husband and I right in our eyes when we are talking to them. They really listen and learn fast. I will never have any dog except a poodle from now on. A little headsup, they are vocal and bark a lot because they are protective of their home.
Not at all. The Poodle is one of the brightest and most intelligent Dog Breeds. According to the book The Intelligence of Dogs by Stanley Coren, the Poodle is the second most intelligent breed of dog. They are in the "Brightest Dogs" group, and dogs in this group can understand new commands within 5 repetitions and obey first commands 95% or better.
The Poodle is also an attentive, eager to please and responsive dog. It is very skilled at reading the body language and expression of humans, making them appear as telepathic.
All these personality traits make the Poodle one of the easiest dogs to train and housebreak. However, bear in mind that each individual dog has its own unique personality. Even dogs of the same breed can have very different temperaments and some Poodles can be very hard to train!
A poodle is a very intelligent breed of dog.
No, the Poodle is the second smartest breed of dog, only surpassed by the Border Collie.

my miniture poodles are friendly with other small dogs. but seem to bark at large dogs...
yes poodles are smarter. the german shepherd is the third smartest dog, and the poodle is the second, the border collie is first. in my training classes-i'm a trainer-, the poodles are always at the head of the class. they are the most trainable of all dogs too. while border collies are stubborn, poodles want to please. they can be taught many complicated tricks and are good service dogs because they are gentle and bond strongly to their people.
No, dolphins, parrots and apes are much smarter.
Yes, poodles are very smart because they have a good memory and they learn fast.
1/6 of them were poodles out of 12 dogs the rest of the dog's fraction is 5/6 for the rest.
Dogs are not smarter than humans. Our intelligent minds are far greater than that of any other brain in the planet.
No. Poodles are really from Germany, 'Poodle' comes from 'Pudel', a germanic word meaning 'puddle'. They were bred as water dogs, hence their other name 'puddle dogs'.
