I obtained my male golden retriever when he was 13 months old. He was a surrendered pup from a family that found him too much work. Lucky for me they decided to do so. He came to me with a full coat. I belong to a golden retriever dog forum and the breeder was surprised to see his full coat. So, I believe it depends on the individual dog. My dog, Farley, has an awesome coat. I have no idea about his breeding but he obviously has great parents. I was surprised to find that he doesn't take a whole lot of grooming either. A good brushing once a week seems to be enough. His tail and leg feathers are lush and full and he will be going to the groomer soon to get trimmed up a bit for the summer. Can't wait to see him swimming.
Same reason humans' hair changes color when they get older.

No, the calico cat's coat color is determined at birth.
A lab can not change color like from yellow to chocolate. However an older lab could change from yellow to white or the color of his fur gets lighter just like as people get old their hair starts to turn gray. This is because everyone's hair is naturally gray, pigments just color it. When pigments stop working or run out your (or your dog's) hair gets lighter in color. But only peoples turns gray.
They can, especially when they get older.
All puppies are born blind with foggy blue eyes, the eyes change when they get older.
No, hamsters do not change colors as they grow older. Their fur color remains the same throughout their lives.
white.......... the young ones are black or brown.....
It's probably just because he's getting older, and change of the fur color is normal for older dogs because their fur changes color. Hope this answered your question.
