Elephants use their prehensile trunk to obtain the vegetation they eat. They can pull leaves from trees, or pull up grass and other low growth from the ground.
They use their trunk as a mobile 'hand' to pick items up.
Grasp the ear of corn in one hand, grip the entire tassle with the other hand, and just twist and pull it up and off, and dispose of it. Very easy to do. Have a great day!!
