Can you ride a liger

well a tiger isn't build like a horse or donkey it may be possible if verry tame and well trained but i don't bellive you should tame a tiger and you wouldn't be able to go verry far without being thrown of a horse,donkey and possibly a camel or maybe even a elephant but i don't recommend you ride any animal without proper training. my son has been begging me for a tiger on a game he plays i think its called wizard101 or something but to me the game seems verry childish and hes 15 so i don't think im going to be doing it for him any time soon he has plenty of real life horses he can ride sources:17 years of horse breeding and training

Sure. They might try to eat you, but they are large enough to ride and their large muscles induce great speeds. Not as fast as cheetahs, but very, very close. Their large muscles also give them great strength. But unless you train them from birth, they will be hard to handle. Theoretically they are rideable.

Yes! It is possible if you are very close to the liger. You would probably want to get them used to the idea at a very young age, so they would not reject the idea later on. You would want to hold their scruff and bend your knees. With their strength and speed, they might even carry you while running. They are so big, that you are just a tiny fraction of their weight. You would want to buy or build some kind of harness to hold on to, otherwise you could easily fall off. You would also need to make sure you could even legally own a liger in your country or state. You would have to train it from a young age. They have been known to behave more like dogs than cats, so if a dog trainer was fine with it, it could probably work. You would have to adopt the, as cubs, and you couldn’t start full on practice riding until they were at least several hundred pounds, so you wouldn’t hurt it. Before that, you should practice giving it a harness, for a couple hours every day. You should also practice sitting on the cat when it is on the ground, very lightly, and just for a few seconds each time. As long as the liger was comfortable, you would stay on the liger until you thought it was enough. Eventually, when it was big enough, you would get on after it was already standing, then you would reward it a treat. You shouldn’t stay on longest than 30 seconds the first time, because the liger might oppose the idea of a human riding it. Afterwards, you would give it plenty of meaty rewards, so she starts loving this plan. Lessen the treats gradually over about two months, more if needed. Also lengthen the time of the ride. Eventually step away from the treat method entirety, as it will just be used to it. If the liger is feeling grouchy every once and a while, do not ride the liger. It needs space as much as you do, and by riding it you’re already pushing the boundaries. If the liger gets bored soon after the treats, and refuses to let you ride anymore, you should give it treats again. Do this until the liger is ready to do it without. If each time, the liger goes back to being lazy, carry a small amount of meat with you. At the end of each ride, reward your liger with a hunk of meat (maybe a chicken breast or so). You could thin that out over a very long period of time, or you could continue this method forever. Make sure to give your liger extra understanding and love once it starts letting you ride it. Not for training, but to keep up your bond so that it lets you ride it. If you completely ignore it and use it just for show, the liger will soon not let you ride it, and will later probably not even want you around. My advice is that you should not ride the liger until they are AT LEAST 500 pounds. They grow to be much more than that. In the meantime, practice the harness at a very young age and get used to being on top of it. Do not rush the steps. A relationship strong enough to allow you to ride it is one created over time.
