It appears to me that a dog can hear Dolphins...I stay on a sailboat, right now, in Cove Harbor, at House of Boats, Rockport, Texas...There is a wonderful, yard dog, a medium size female, about 3 yr old. Has a sweet personality, very alert...Many times She barks and runs the close shoreline, and docks with obvious interest in something in the water...Soon, Dolphins appear and for several minutes, she maintains the excited barking. It is fun to observe...Melvin Taylor 5/27/2013
Animals such as dogs, cats, and certain insects can hear ultrasound frequencies that are beyond the range of human hearing. Whales and dolphins can also detect sounds in the infrasound range, which are lower than what humans can perceive.
Animals such as dogs, bats, and dolphins can hear ultrasonic frequencies that are beyond the range of human hearing. They have specialized auditory systems that allow them to detect and interpret these high-frequency sounds.
Dolphins hear with their ears BUT when it comes to their sonar they 'hear' with their jaw.
Young children and certain animals such as dolphins, bats, and some dogs have the ability to hear the highest frequency sounds. As we age, our ability to hear high frequencies diminishes.
dolphins hate getting bitten by sharks

Well dolphins aren't land animals, which limits their usefulness. (although they can be ridden unlike dogs)
While dogs can hear high frequency sounds, BATS may hold the record. They use high frequency sound for navigation.actually there are 2. dolphins and miceBeluga Whaleand bats
