Shih tzus do not bite. I have a shih tzu and she has never bit me, no matter what. She is the sweetest thing. Some of my friends have shih tzus to and I have never heard that they have bit anyone. The only time my shih tzu bit me was when we were playing tug of war with her rope and she missed the rope and got me, and when I stuck my finger in her mouth. (Don't ask why). Also, if a shih tzu ever bites you it doesn't hert (sorry on spelling there).
