A mother rabbit can have two litters of bunnies at the same time I would suggest removing the father from the cage to prevent that from happening
Does can become pregnant an hour after GIVING BIRTH. But DO NOT try this as it's dangerous for the mother.
Once the doe and buck have mated you should separate them. ESPECIALLY when the babies are born. The buck can trample the babies when there still hairless or when they're older the buck will try to mate with the does of the litter.
If you have a buck and a doe together for 'ages' and you have not had any babies your doe is either barren or your buck is sterile.
Its not a good idea Every rabbit should have it's own cage and a pregnant doe not only needs her own cage and nest box but peace and quiet. Having a non pregnant doe in with her would cause too much confusion. The non pregnant doe could jump in and out of the nest box stomping the babies or cause the doe to stomp her own babies by jumping in and out of the box herself while trying to protect them from the other doe. Does will fight, pulling fur, slitting each others ears and scratching eyes.
A barren ewe was often called Sunday Dinner.
Yes, it is very rare but can happen. The term for such a baby is a "mummified kit". Again, very rare and most often causes the doe to become infertile/sterile. Most people who "know" their rabbit is pregnant and then don't end up with a litter didn't have a pregnant doe. False pregnancies can also lead people to worry the litter is "stuck", but again, the doe wasn't actually pregnant.
A female adult rabbit is called a doe or a jill. No special name for one that has had babies (or bunny, kit, kitten, leveret, nestling)
when you rebreed the doe to a buck when you rebreed the doe to a buck
Baby rabbits are called "kittens" or "kits" for short. There is no special name for female babies versus male babies. Adult males rabbits are called "bucks" and adult females are called "does."
Palpation is the act of feeling the doe rabbit's abdomen to determine if she is pregnant or not.
As often as they are bred. It takes approx. 30 days to have babies and a doe CAN be rebred the same day she kindles. (This is not a good practice besides having tons of babies it will shorten the life of your doe.) A more realistic breeding program is breed doe, kindle in 30 days, start weaning babies at 6 weeks, rebreed doe between 7th and 8th week. Wean all babies by 8th week and the doe will have babies again 30 days from the day you bred her.
about a week or so but my doe had a baby's in about 3 to 4 day's bye
