at one point the grey wolf (average wolf) was found virtually everywhere on all continents save Antarctica and Australia, now they are found in Canada, Alaska, parts of Idaho, Russia, eastern Europe, almost all former east block countries (former soviet union), and scattered concentrations throughout Europe such as Germany, Sweden, northern Spain and Portugal, just to name a few, china, India, and Greenland, now this is a list that to my knowledge is complete save for Europe which has many scattered little concentrations. really they are from all places but they have high concentrations in Spain(2,000), Belarus (2,000,-2,500), Romania (2,500), China (12,000),Russia (25,000-30,000), Mongolia (10,000-20,000), Canada (51,500-53,500), United States including Alaska has roughly 10,000. it is spelled wolves not 'wolfs'
