im not sure how long it been but if they have died it can kill your g-pig very quickly so you should probably go see a vet, if its started acting sluggish and sick take it to a vet immediatly
This could be pregnant, or in calf. By the way, its cows that are only pregnant, it is physically impossible for calves (as they are babies) to get pregnant.
Nope. She'll get pregnant again and could die. selfish imo
I guess not because we bought a guinea pig (not knowing) it was pregnant and it had its baby fine no problems cleaned it up and everything it must have gotten pregnant before PetSmart got it but we love our baby. :) I dont recommend it. My research says that if the guinea pigs get into a tussel they could eat the babies to protect them from getting hurt.
Gestation of Guinea PigA guinea pigs gestation period is 63 - 72 days, which is 9 - 10 weeks.I'm not 100% sure but I think its about 58-65 days, but it varys.
I suggest letting the baby guinea pigs alone for the first day or so. After that, you want to handle them (although of course very gently and so on) as most as possible, so that they can get used to humans being around them, and so they can be easier to handle later on.
Yes , the father can get her pregnant less than about a week after the babies are born , so it is very recommended to remove the father before the birth (or/and after) so that the mother does not get pregnant again. It is very unhealthy for a guinea pig to be pregnant again right after giving birth , she could die if she had 2 births in a row.
yes! its very important to remove them if you think she is pregnant, or already is. he could cause her to much stress, and may attack her. also when the babies are old enough to not have milk from mamma (depending on the baby, but ushually 3 weeks) separate boys from girls.
It takes about 5-30 minutes for a mother to give birth to her baby(s). If it takes longer than that you have to get some help or go to the vet because if you don't the female guinea pig could die. Or the baby would have problems with it brain. (It just depends were it got stuck. If its halfway out it coming all the way out so don't worry about that. It could take 15 minutes for each guinea pig to come out if it is halfway out. It will take 5-30 minutes for all the guinea pigs. (Depending on how many guinea pig babies she has)
You have to see how long it is over the gestation period. If it is really over the gestation period, your hamster may not even be pregnant at all. There are cases of false pregnancy where the hamster is not pregnant just showing the signs of pregnancy or it could have reabsorbed all the pups.
Yes, it could be possible that the male could kill the babies
it could be that ur guinea pig is pregnant when there pregnant they dont like to be touched
Yes, a male guinea pig may harm or even kill babies if left together. It is important to separate the male from the babies and the mother to prevent any harm. Male guinea pigs are best kept separately from young or pregnant females to avoid any potential aggression.
