What I've learned is that to get rid of the odor you should not use commercial cleaners in your Hoover because some of the chemicals in them may actually make stains and odors worse. Use a good cleanser with enzymes such as Liquid Alive. You may have to clean the area twice using the Clean Surge feature if the stain/odor have been there for quite some time.
