Sick or injured wolves, if they live alone, usually stay in a quiet, enclosed space, like a cave or hole, until they die or recover. If they live in packs, the rest of the wolves are likely to either carry food in their mouths to the sick/injured packmember, or regurgitate food from their stomachs.

Also, wolves do not attack humans unless they are defending themselves or are derived of their natural food source, which is usually caused by humans moving into the wolves land and killing their prey. So, no, red wolves are not that violent, nor is any other wolf. Yes they are carnivores, and yes, they kill to survive, but so do humans, and we don't consider ourselves really 'violent'.
