You can tell if a hamster is obese when it is quite larger than other hamsters of it's kind. also when they are lazy and can barely run or walk on their paws.
No its not, i guinea pigs cage is way bigger. & you should not have the same size of guinea pig cage as your hampster.
very small. about the size of half you small finger. they are born fully haired, eyes open and you can touch them with in 4 hours of birth.
Guinea pigs is a lot bigger than hamsters. A hamster is about the length of one baseball while an adult guinea pig is about the size of three baseballs. In fact, if you place food in front of a grown guinea pig, it can stretch itself to the length of a foot with ease. A hamster wouldn't stretch to that length, not even when forced.
my adult Syrian hamster is roughly 5 inches long and an adult chipmunk is normally between 8 1/2 and 11 1/2 inches however baby chipmunks will be smaller than Syrian hamsters but approximately the same size as adult dwarf hamsters hope this helps :)
A guinea pig's brain is relatively small compared to other mammals, measuring about 6 to 7 cubic centimeters in volume. Despite its small size, the guinea pig's brain is highly developed and plays a crucial role in processing sensory information, emotions, and controlling its behavior.
One way to differentiate between a hamster and a guinea pig is by size. Guinea pigs are typically larger than hamsters. Additionally, guinea pigs have rounded bodies with shorter legs compared to the more slender bodies and longer legs of hamsters. Hamsters also have shorter ears and tails than guinea pigs.
No, that would be cruel. A CAGE at least the width and length of a 20 gallon fishtank in comparison. At LEAST. Would be better suited to a guinea pig.
The only problem would be the size. Guinea pigs drink MUCH more than a hamster would, so generally you would need a larger bottle. Also, if you used this bottle for a hamster previously, you would need to make sure it was cleaned well before using it with another animal.
The average size of a hamster is around 4 to 7 inches in length. This is smaller than some other small rodents like guinea pigs and gerbils, which can grow to be 8 to 10 inches long.
Guinea Pigs are MUCH larger than Hamsters and since their excrement (droppings) and cleaning habits and so on are similar - one could conclude that they smell the same.BUT if you do not clean their habitat often enough, THEN a Guinea Pig's Cage/Terarium would be Smellier than a Hamster's - SINCE they would have a larger amount of droppings (both in size and amount) and there would be more excrement in their enclosure.
Well, it depends on the hamster really. I have got 2 Syrian hamster, both girls, and they look exactly the same, its just one of them is really small and can fit in one of my hands, but the other wont even fit in both of my hands and her lets are hanging of. If you want to know the real size, i suggest you ask an expert!
Study hamsters and guinea pigs. and everything you need to know about them. Write down neat notes and hang them around your room. Decide which cages are good and which are bad. Tell your parents occasionally you'd love a hamster - but don't nag them. Set up a fake hamster cage with a plastic box that is the right size. Wash it as much as you need to wash a hamster cage. Pretend to change its food bowl and water as often as you need it. Then, your parents may consider it.
