Horse Trainer in GA, USA
A horse needs to be mature. Generally training begins at age 4.
The most expensive breyer horse i have bought is 150 $
It depends on the breed, age, gender and training and also if they are well behaved. for example a young horse either colt or filly would be quite cheap as the would need alot of training and may not be broken yet. or a horse which is not very well behaved would be quite cheap as people wouldn't want them otherwise. an older horse will be cheaper as they may not be able to be ridden much longer. I'm guessing that the most expensive type of horse would be a stallion of a good, breed and a quite young age. they would be more expensive if they were broken and already showing.
If this is a question of whether a Greman Shepard is more expensive to buy than a horse the answer is no on average. If the example is the most expensive German Shepard ever purchased and the most expensive horse ever purchased the answer is still that the horse.

Without knowing your riding level and experience and how much training your horse already has it is impossible to know where to start. Training a horse is a long process that can be dangerous for the inexperienced. If you can't afford to pay a trainer rent or buy some basic training DVDs. Go to a bookstore or library and get some books on basic training. It sounds like your horse is a bit green and he now needs some hours to smooth him out a little. But is is so difficult to explain the training he will need if I can't see the horse. Schooling a horse is very individualized. And not all methods work for every horse. That's part of being a trainer. You have to find what works for your horse. But training at it's most basic is correct riding. You have to be a correct rider and you have to 'ask' the horse correctly to get the desired results.
schooling a horse is a phrase used for a systematic disciplined approach to training.
