When milk is pasteurized is loses very little of the purported "health benefits" and is not a very valuable source of vitamin D or calcium.

If you're going to drink milk, I *personally* wouldn't let my child consume any more than one 8 oz. glass a day. There are many delicious milk alternatives (soy,rice,almond, hemp, etc.) that are enriched with tons of vitamins and minerals too.
