A paint is a breed. A pinto is a coloring. He is a pinto regardless of breed, but he could also be a paint depending on his parents.
A palamino is a golden horse with a white/cream mane and tail and a pinto is a black/brown and white horse
Skewbald is a specific pattern of colored and white patches on a Paint or Pinto horse.
A piebald horse is a horse with irregular black patches on a gray coat (which may appear white). There are two other colorings to distinguish a piebald from: Paint horses and Skewbald. A Skewbald horse has similar patches, but they are brown. A Paint horse is the opposite - they seem to have white patches on a solid coat.
My horse is not brown and white. She is gold with a white mane an tail (hair) if a horse is brown and white with patches, its a paint horse. If its opposite, its a Pinto. There are many types of paint (Tobiano, Overo, Piebald, Skewblad) Or it may be a bay or brown horse with white markings
The paint (the thing, not the act) = Pintura To Paint a wall/picture = Pintar A Paint Horse = Pinto
Usually Skewbald. But horses of that colour can also be called pinto. Skewbald means brown and white patches and pinto just refers to any horse with colour and white patches. Paint horses are actually a breed of horse that usually come in that colouring.
bay, gray, dapple gray, palomino, blue roan, red roan, pinto/paint, appaloosa, black, grulla, chestnut, sorrel, brown
pinto is just another word for paint. Like a Pinto horse.
A Pinto is a colour of a horse, that is white and another darker colour, [I.E dark brown, black ect.] Well actually a pinto is a multi colored pure bred
Buckskin is the most primal color of a horse. Chestnut or brown is the second most popular and basic colour for horses. Sorrel (or paint), black, white and bay are other popular and basic colours found in horses.
Paint is a breed and buckskin is a color. To get a Paint, both parents must be registered Paints. However if you meant a pinto ( a horse showing one or more of several pinto spotting patterns) then what you would need to do is make sure you breed the buckskin colored horse to a pinto marked horse that is homozygous (dominant) for a pinto gene. Typically the easiest pinto pattern to breed for is tobiano.
A tobaino paint is a type of coloured breed of a horse I think. Tobiano is a type of marking that can be found on pinto marked horses and within the Paint horse breed.
