There is no average age that ligers live to. There have been records of them living into their twenties. But they very rarely survive that long. Because they are created through breeding two different species, almost all of them have birth defects causing a short lifespan compared to a tiger or a lion. They are prone to gigantism, cancer, Diabetes, Arthritis, and depression.

I would also like to enforce that the breeding of ligers is cruel both to the mother tiger and the liger cubs because of the numerous birth defects and the dangerous complications at birth.
