hmmm...thats weird!!!!! Im not really sure what could have been the cause, but, if the wood shavings were pine/cedar then that could have contributed to the death of your pig.

Do you put newspaper down before woodshavings in an outdoor guinea pig hutch Or do you not use newspaper altogether?

I put newspapers underneath the woodshavings. That is easy because when you clean up the cage, you just roll up the papers with the dirty woodshavings between them and throw it away all at once.

Healthy foods for your guinea pig lose weight?

To get your piggy to lose weight, firstly check its actual weight at the moment and determine if the Guinea Pig is already healthy. If it is overweight, avoid feeding it fruit and put it on a strict diet of just broccoli, arugula (But only a small amount), beets (Only a small amount as well), and LOTS of timothy hay. Make sure your piggy has plenty of room to run and exercise. If your Guinea Pig shows no interest in running or exercising, take it to the vet - it may have a sickness. I hope this helps!
