The scientific name for a domestic cow is Bos primigenius. For the American bison, it is Bison bison. For African Buffalo, it's Syncerus caffer. For Wild Asian Water Buffalo: Bubalus arnee, and for Domestic Wild Asian Water Buffalo it is Bubalus bubalus.
