Please don't sluff this runny nose on your dog off as a cold. Several things can cause this ... Allergies, nodules inside the nose, fever, or kennel cough. I never diagnose my own pets and always take them to the vets to be checked out properly. Please take your dog into the vets as soon as possible. Good luck Marcy I also agree do not shake it off and think its just a little cold because dogs dont get just colds dogs get into so much they could catch mostly anything, but seriously take him/her to the vet as soon as possible it could be something serious like a fever or a virus or maybe hes just allergic to something and you wont know and you even might just have him around what hes allergic to so dont wait take him to a vet immediatly! good luck, sly You should definitely see your vet. Sometimes cold symptoms can mean a respiratory infection too, but anytime your dog stops eating it is a cause for concern and should be addressed by your vet.
