Has the cat vomited recently? If so, has he ate too fast? Cats (and dogs) for that matter can't really take large amounts of food really fast, so that could be the cause. For this, I would recommend placing Golf balls in the dish so that the cat can not eat a lot at one time.

But, if the cat has vomited lately and you aren't really sure of the cause, it could be something greater going on. It could be anything from a bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract, to acute kidney failure. I would take the cat in question to the vet as soon as possible.

More than once or twice, you may try to look at the food you are feeding. If it is new to them, return to the old. When you go to the vet, it is real easy to run up a bill for all of the tests. Try the bacterial infection route with antibiotics. Make sure the cat gets lots of liquids--I found chicken broth was a good thing.
