Well most of the time they chatter there teeth and straighten there back legs. Sometimes they even do it while circleing each other! (my gp, gar-gar and mo-mo do it)
If by "castrated" you mean "neutered" like a cat or dog, you'll have to ask a vet that is experienced with exotics (guinea pigs are considered "exotics" in the vet world). Keep in mind that neutering a male guinea pig will prevent him from impregnating females, but will not change his aggression toward other males if he has any.
It is very easy. I have a female Abyssinian Guinea Pig. Between her back legs is a small hole from which she urinates. My sisters have a male American Guinea Pig. If you look between his legs there is a hole that well... looks like he is pooping you could say. But that is his male part.
It's best to take it to the vets so they can tell you what sex it is..... It's best to do this otherwise you might end up with offspring (lots of baby guinea pigs) Hope this helps Laura
Male guinea pigs generally do not pose a threat to newborn babies. It is recommended to separate the male guinea pig from the newborn babies if there are any signs of aggression or stress. Guinea pigs are social animals and may require supervision when introducing new members to the group.
