Panting is a normal process in dogs, it is how they cool down. You should not be worried if they appear to be breathing without effort and panting is the only sign you notice.
Panting in cats is not normal. It can indicate anxiety, pain or a respiratory/heart problem. If your cat continues to pant, you should take it to see a vet.
Panting, dogs don't have sweat glands.
by panting...
When someone says it is raining cats and dogs they actually mean the rain is very heavy.Something like hail.
If non-dogs mean creatures that are not dogs then all cats are non-dogs, yes.Cats and dogs are two completely different species. There are many cats who think they are dogs (only when it suits them) and vice versa, that is why there is a saying: Dogs have Masters, Cats have slaves!!
you mean cats?
Cats are not a normal part of a dogs diet, but people who fight dogs (which are usually pitbulls) will use cats as bait to train the dogs to be mean.
examplle: 3 cats and 10 dogs ratio of dogs to cats= 10/3
My dog has been panting all day.The wolf sat in the corner, panting and eyeing up the prey he has saved for dinner.
Raining cats and dogs mean that it's raining very hard
eating, biting, panting......
There is an expression - "raining cats and dogs". This does not mean that cats and/or dogs are literally falling from the sky, it simply means that it is raining very hard.
Dogs only sweat through their feet. Dogs reduce their temperature by panting which cools them by evaporating water from their tongue. Dogs cannot sweat as we do, as they have very few sweat glands and most of these are in their foot pads. They mainly cool themselves down by panting and breathing, with the lining of the lungs as the evaporative surface.
