All i know that if you're looking for a dog to be you and your family's best friend, the dog to get is a Boston terrier. Most don't get to be more then 15 pounds, and they learn quickly if you get a puppy. As long as you don't mind a bit of hyperness every now and then. But once they get used to you they will just lay in your lap all day long.
Mastiff breeds are best guard dogs for home.
hey i would recomend a can-terrier they are great guard dogs and are good with children but are very active. They are not viscious but can guard a house no matter how big it is how do i no this? i own one they are cute and are not a large dog. So if you are thinking about buying a new puppy but want a cute and one that can guard a house or other things i strongly recomend a Can-Terrier.
A German Shepherd , a Doberman, or a Rottweiler.
I would say doberman pinscher or rottweiler.
They are the best built for intimidation.
Well, many dogs. Depending on your family, attitude, and routine. If you have children, you should maybe get a Lab or Golden. If you have a farm you should get a Farm Dog.( Any) If you want a guard dog, get a German Shepherd There are many more choices
Not recommended as a family pet or for the first time dog owner. This breed is best kept for working and makes an excellent guard dog, mainly due to the fact that it will attack strangers and other dogs.
The best small family dog is the Bichon Frise it's small and fit for family life. Take it from the owner of two Bichon Frise.
giant schnauzers are the best but if you want a lap dog get a mini
To make your dog a great guard dog, start with obedience training to ensure they respond well to commands. Socialize your dog with different people and environments to build their confidence. Lastly, specific guard dog training and reinforcement of territorial behaviors can help develop their guarding instincts. Always consult with a professional dog trainer for guidance on the best approach for your specific dog.
It depends on what you like :)
