I have a 1962 Row Crop Utility JOHN DEERe 1010.
Everywhere I read said the firing order was 1-3-4-2, BUT, after much messing with my new distributor, I have found that mine is most definitely 1-2-4-3.
Mines a pre- 36000 serial # (or is it 3600?).
Also - not that it matters for 1-2-4-3, but the front cylinder (furthest from driver) is #1.

The firing order for a Ford 3930 tractor, which is equipped with a 3-cylinder engine, is 1-2-3. This means that the cylinders fire in the sequence of cylinder 1, followed by cylinder 2, and then cylinder 3. Proper adherence to this firing order is essential for optimal engine performance and smooth operation.
