The most important plant that rabbits eat is hay: they need to eat tons of hay to stay healthy.

Other than hay, bunnies eat leafy green plants like some dark-coloured lettuces, herbs, weeds, and the green tops of root veggies; they also eat some flowers and vegetables.

Despite the Cartoons, they do not eat carrots, but DO love carrot tops. Ask the grocer if they have carrot tops they've trim from carrots -- you might get some for free! Carrots are high in sugar and should be considered a treat, not a regular part of your rabbit's diet. A bite or two of carrot every couple of days won't hurt your rabbit (assuming your rabbit is otherwise healthy and eating a healthy diet).

There are many plants that rabbits can't eat. Always research plants before giving them to your rabbit. See the related links/questions below for more info.
