If your guinea pig begins vibrating after a bath this usually means that the animal has become chilled somehow- either from bathing it in too cold of water, or having it sit around soaking wet for to long.
First wrap your guinea pig in a towel (not too tight now) then start sitting by a warm air vent/heater or fireplace. If the animal is shaking fiercely start using a hair dryer on him/her but make sure it is set on medium- not high. After doing this for at least 15 minutes your guinea pig should stop shaking and have a completely dry coat.
yes, you should bathe your guinea pig once a month.
It is fine to never bath your guinea pig. They dont need a bath because they clean themselves.
Actually you CAN give a Guinea pig a bath but you should not put them back in their cage when they are damp (this is how they get colds). It should be around 50 degrees or higher when you give him/her a bath but be sure to remember to dry your friend with a towel (NO HAIR DRYERS). SQ
You should not give a guinea pig a shower once a week. I only bath my guinea pigs if they are really in need of a bath or if I'm taking them to a show. I would say a few times a year if you want to bath them, but not once a week
i think an average guinea pig should 5-15 times a day i can ensure you if they have more they are perfectely fine for an example my guinea pig did about 30 one day but that was because it had a big meal.
I would not recommend giving a guinea pig any younger than 3 months a bath.
within one week you should be able to bath it because it will be used to you by then, i dont recommend you bath it once you get it because that might scare the piggie
when it stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????
Oil
When bathing your guinea pig, you should be careful to always use the proper animal shampoo from a vet or pet store. Human shampoo can be harmful to the animal.
This can mean that the guinea pig was frightened from something loud, like a dog bark or telephone ring.
Any guinea pig shampoo should be fine for your guinea pig but you might want to ask your vet, an employee at a pet store, or friends with guinea pigs.
