The starter solenoid for most old Fords will work. If you need something specific, a 1975 Ford F-150 starter solenoid will work. Just make sure your replacement solenoid has 2 large posts and 2 small posts. (They all have 2 large posts, its the number of small posts thats important). You can also order an exact replacement for about $15 here: http://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-Starter-Solenoid-Kit--AM138497_p_5144.html Good luck!
To change the drive belt on a John Deere 260 lawn mower, first, ensure the mower is turned off and disconnected from the power source. Remove the mower deck by detaching any necessary bolts and pins, then locate and remove the old drive belt from the pulleys. Install the new belt by routing it according to the diagram usually found on the mower or in the owner's manual, ensuring it fits snugly on all pulleys. Finally, reattach the mower deck and double-check the belt alignment before testing the mower.

Additionally, the 60-inch Mower Deck (Model 60) can also be used, but it may require additional components for proper installation. Always consult the owner's manual or a local dealer for specific compatibility and installation guidance.

There is a four-sided inset plug on the underside of the JS30 John Deere lawnmower. You'll see it near the blade shaft. That is your oil drain plug. You need to loosen the belt guide nut a little to swing the belt guide out of the way. A 3/8" ratchet extension exactly fits this plug. Place a plastic bag underneath the lawnmower to catch the oil. There isn't much. To get all the oil, drop the mower down completely for a minute or so. Remember, before you do this, pull the spark plug wire to keep the mower from starting unexpectedly.
nothing from John Deere. "LT" is an acronym for "LAWN TRACTOR" and JD does not make a thrower for this model. there are aftermarket companies that do make those.
