You can take him out in your arms as soon as you bring him home. Don't let him have contact with the ground where other dogs have (or may have) toileted and don't let him have contact with other dogs unless you know them VERY well and know they are healthy and fully vaccinated. During his puppy vaccination series there is a period of time when he will have little or no immunity and is at increased risk of contracting diseases. You have to keep him away from sources of infection during that period. The problem is, we don't ever know exactly when that period is or when it ends. Most vets will clear a puppy to be out in public (and around other dogs) a week after his second set of shots. But you should do whatever your own vet recommends because he knows your specific area, what's going around, and the specific needs of your puppy best.
Usually by the first or second bathroom trip outside.
You can take a puppy outside at any age just to go potty, but a puppy should have all of it's shots before it meets other dogs or spend long periods of time outside.
You should take your puppy out at least every hour, if it's a male puppy they need to go more often that a female puppy or so seems anyway.
To teach your puppy to ring a bell to signal when they need to go outside, follow these steps: Hang a bell by the door at your puppy's nose level. Every time you take your puppy outside, encourage them to touch or ring the bell with their nose or paw. Praise and reward your puppy with a treat or praise every time they ring the bell. Be consistent and patient with the training process, and your puppy will learn to associate ringing the bell with going outside to potty.
It depends on the sentence. For example: Then training your new puppy, there are times when you will need to remember to take the puppy outside, such as just after a meal.
it would most likely hurt the puppy. i would say to take the dog to the vet immediately before it gets worse. Puppy might go kaboom!
yes, just gradualy move the newspaper towards the door, then outside. next, gradually make the newspaper smaller then finally take it away when your puppy is confident to on going to the loo outside.
Just make sure you feed and water the puppy everyday, and make sure you watch it all the time. And take it outside every hour or so, sometimes more
To train a puppy to go to the bathroom outside in cold weather, keep your puppy on a regular schedule for going to the bathroom, dress your puppy in warm clothing when you take it outside, consider using a bathroom pad or litter box inside as a temporary measure, and use a consistent command to signal to your puppy that it is time to go to the bathroom. Gradually move the pad or litter box closer to the door and eventually outside, and be patient and consistent while your puppy is learning. If your puppy has an accident inside, clean it up thoroughly to remove the scent. It may take several weeks or even months for your puppy to be fully pee trained. Yes unless you would like it in your house instead
If the puppy is already paper-trained, gradually move the paper closer to the door going outside. About half an hour after feeding the puppy, take it outside until it passes either urine or feces. Make a fuss about what a "good" dog it is when it does this. They learn quickly what brings pleasure to their owner.
it could be allergic or irritation to the kind of soap you used for the dog, or its something outside the puppy got into. also if it worsens i would recommend you don't use the same soap or take the puppy to your local vet.
