If you do a websearch for `labrador retriever' on the internet, you'll be amazed at the info you can find. My last dog was a Labrador, as was the one before him and perosnally, I wouldn't have any other breed. They're absolutely lovely (and yeah, that IS a biased opinion). One of their interesting characteristics, and a reason they're such great swimmers, is that Labradors have webbed feet. YES THEY DO EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
