A landscape designer does not necessarily need a degree, and even though landscape designers and architects' duties may overlap, they are not the same thing. Landscape architects, in addition to having a four year degree, must also be licensed by the state. Generally, pay grades for landscape architects are higher than those of landscape designers.

To call yourself a landscape architect you need a university degree in Landscape Architecture. (Generally 4 years full time) To be a Garden Designer you dont need any qualifications but they help if you want to be a good one. Could include qualifications in Horticulture, Enviromental Science, Architecture, Landscape Construction etc. would all help.
you have to be a good designer and drawer, you have to be a good worker by your self, and you have to have intrist in it before you decied to be a architect.
