Why are some cats only lovable in the bathroom?

SeperationMy 2 and a half month old kitten will sit in the bathroom and stare at the shower until I get out, meowing as if she's scared. In my case, I think it's because I raised her from about a week old (bottle fed and everything) so she may just be worried because she can't see her mom/doesn't understand what the shower is.

Otherwise, I'm really not sure. I was hoping to know the answer myself.

No actually, this may be just your cat and if its something they've been doing since they were a kitten, they don't know any better. It may be also that the cat is experiencing separation anxiety, even though you are just entering another room of the house.

although cats do love attention and company they are very independent animals and are capable of being in one room while you are in another,

its far more likely that your cat ,as all cats do, loves the heated temperature of the room, my cat used to sit next to me in the bath, also the microwave, cooker, kettle and even a cup of tea just made

so i wouldn't worry about separation anxiety just yet until you have more evidence of that.

It could also just be that your cat likes to be where you are sometimes, or particularly, he likes to be near you when you're cleaning. Cats tends to groom together if they are in the same family pack.

Heck my cat likes to use the bathroom when i do (his litterbox is in the bathroom) explain that.

Cats actually don't like bathtubs if you try to take them a bath all cats will run because cats actually clean themselve by licking t hemselves so they don't like water.So your answers is cats dont actually like bathtubs unless it doesn't have water then they might but if it does they wont get in it.

Cats like to get into the details of their fur that's why most of the time when their done they have fur balls. you shouldn't let your cat wash themselves because their furballs can harm them. It is natural for a cat to bathe itself. You cannot stop it!

I do not know the answer to the question, but I thought my first cat did it because of some habit it had with a former owner. I realized after he died and I got two other young cats that they do it too. It does not matter where they are in the house if they think I am headed to the bathroom they will jet by me and stand beside while in there no matter how long that may be, the entire time. While in bath they will sleep on the rug beside tub. At first I thought maybe they only used litter box when I got home from work and used my human litter box. My friends never believed me when i would claim my first cat would do this. He would actually stand on my feet, my cat now will lay on counter beside toilet. Sweet and disturbing at the same time.

I don't know why yours does, because mine don't. A reason they may do that is that they don't like the sound, or they don't like the water.
