Noahs arc was made of Cyprees wood.
According to the Bible, God told Noah to make an ark out of 'gopher' wood, a wood entirely unknown to scholars today. Based on the etymology of the word and the widespread use of reed boats in very early times, some scholars say that gopher wood meant reeds. It has been noted that boats made of reeds were quite seaworthy and could not be engulfed by the waves. Of course, this assumes that the biblical story of Noah's Ark was based on much earlier legends originating at a time before timber construction became normal.
Gopher wood. After God gave Noah the directive to build the Ark. Noah went to his sons (Shem, Ham and Japheth) and said "GO FOR WOOD" and they did.
Oh, dude, gopher wood is like the OG floating material. According to the Bible, Noah used gopher wood to build the Ark, so yeah, it can definitely float. It's like the ancient version of a life raft, but with more biblical flair.
Used just once in Genesis 6:14 with God instructing Noah to use this wood in the construction of the Ark, it was not translated in the King James Version. Modern versions tend to translate this wood to Cypress.
It's a fictional story. Therefore I'm sure we have no clue.
