Giant pandas need to climb trees primarily for safety and to find food. Climbing allows them to escape predators and seek refuge from threats. Additionally, pandas often climb to access bamboo, their main food source, and to find resting spots, especially during the warmer months. Tree climbing also plays a role in their social interactions and mating behaviors.
So they can climb and reach their food.

They use the hollowed out bottoms of trees or any other place that has shelter and is warm.
Adult giant pandas are the largest mammal in their habitat and have no predators. Baby pandas may be taken by snow leopards or jackals.
