I'm just a 10 year old and just finished studying whales and I think they sleep like on their head with their tails above water if thats what you meant then i have no clue actually (i really don't think there is a reason)
hang upside down in the water
No, whales do not sleep upside down. They typically sleep by resting one half of their brain at a time while remaining upright in the water. This allows them to continue breathing and be aware of their surroundings.
No they do not sleep upside down.
A Healthy snail doesn't flip upside down to sleep usually. so A unhealthy snail would sleep upside down.
The Humpback Whale is not in California. It is in the Pacific Ocean near California. The Humpback Whales migrate every year up and down the coast of California, down to Hawaii. There are also Humpback Whales in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Pacific Ocean surrounding the NW, W, SW, S, and SE coasts. It all depends on the time of year as to where the Humpback Whales will be as well as where they have grown up and lived their whole life.
