It's not just hunting dogs that have a white tipped tail. African wild dogs have the same white tip. In the wild, that white tip helps keep the pack in contact while hunting. For hunting dogs, it helps the hunter keep track of where his/her dogs are.
A dog's length is measured from the tip of the tail to the tip of the nose
A wild cat looks like a house cat but has white tip tail.
Because they are hunting dogs, have you noticed the white tip on the end of their tail?? That is on every beagle. It is used so that when they are hunting, people can find them easily. I have a pet beagle at home, her name is Ruby, and the time that she ran away, I found her by spotting the tip of her tail in the dark!!
Some do. Not real common, but i got my first white tipped tail today. So the answer is yes, but most don't.
If a white tip spider bit you, then you would go to the emergency room. That is the same for kittens, cats, puppies and dogs. They should go to the vets. There is a chance they have been poisoned and need to be treated.
Usually if dogs are mixed they have a white tip on their tail or white on their paws. A purebred lab will not have these. A purebred is all one color. You can look online for the exact specifications of the breed so that you can find other inconsistencies.
very common because i did it once
A cheetah's tail is orange with orange spots and in some cases, stripes, with a white tip.
Cats don't really "wag their tails". If your cat is lashing its tail from side to side, it's probably upset about something. A cat may twitch the tip of its tail, which is somewhat different; it doesn't seem to really mean anything other than "I can twitch the tip of my tail, so I think I'll do that." That's not entirely true; cats usually twitch the tip of their tails when they are hunting.
Beagles have a distinctive white tip on their tail. This is used because when beagles went hinting, they could easily be spotted by their tail.
they are black with 2-3 white lines down its back to the tip of his tail
They are gingerish-brown in colour, with yellowish-white belly fur, but in the northern parts of their range they moult to pure white in winter. The tip of the tail is black in all seasons.
