Conventional advice says you should never feed a dog bones, particularly chicken bones, and doubly so cooked chicken bones. There is a possibility with any bone that the dog will not be able to digest the bone and it could cause an obstruction or laceration of the gastrointestinal tract, which is potentially fatal. Chicken bones tend to carry a higher risk of this, as they are smaller and easier to swallow whole. Cooked chicken bones carry an even higher risk as they are often quite brittle and tend to shatter into sharp splinters when chewed.
Having said all this, some dogs can handle chicken bones, even cooked chicken bones, just fine - my parents have fed them to their large breed (90+ pound) dogs all their lives and never had a problem.
no cooked lamb bones splinter you can only give it to them raw.
The dog can choke to death, or get a perforated intestine from a sharp piece. That's why dogs should NEVER be fed ANY animal bones.
You should NEVER EVER give your dog cooked bones. So don't even try it. Because a cooked bone will splinter and tear up your dog's throat. Try a cow or pig or horse hoof if they are a big dog. Kongs for any dog are brilliant. Those keep your dog interested in something other than you, fill the kong with treats.

While dogs can eat cooked venison rib bones, it's generally not recommended. Cooked bones can splinter and pose a choking hazard or cause internal injuries. If you want to give your dog bones, it's safer to choose raw bones that are large enough to prevent swallowing and have less risk of splintering. Always supervise your dog and consult your veterinarian before introducing new foods.
3 minutes NO. Never, ever let you little dog get hold of chicken bones. The bones can splinter and cause intestinal perforation.
You should check with a vet, since some weaker bones can splinter and puncture the stomach or intestines. Cow calf bones shouldn't be a problem, but best check to make sure in case they aren't calcified enough to avoid splintering.

Beef bones Yes, though the bones should be thoroughly cooked to prevent the transmission of parasites that may be in the meat. Chicken and pork bones NEVER because they splinter and can cause damage if swallowed. Both of these answers are incorrect! You don't need to cook any bone for a dog. You should always give them the bone raw. A raw bone is soft, a cooked bone is dry and brittle, it can splinter and damage the dog from the inside. Just to clarify, NEVER give a dog a cooked bone! Always raw!
