Well effective customer service can affect the customer by putting them in a better mood. If they need something they don't want to have to deal with an irritating staff because then whatever they are looking for wont be worth there time if they can not get it easily. For example: A women asks an employee where an item is and he does not know. She askes others too and they all give her attitude and are not helpfull. She would end up leaving the store to either find somewere else to shop because she did not find what she was looking for, or she would have found it herself but would go somewere else the next time because she does not like the store. So if you have good customer servise you will please the customer and keep them coming back.
