There is also below the line advertising (retail, coupons, direct mail, exhibitions) Then of course you have guerrilla advertising, also known as alternative advertising, ambient advertising, viral, or non-conventional. Advertising is a means of mass awareness. By Advertising an event the organization or company increases the possibility of greater participation as people are more aware and informed. Since social media is extremely popular and accessed by every second person hence advertising by these mediums will be more successful in increasing the popularity of the event and hence drawing attention.
A good advertisement must appeal to a mass audience. It must also be clear about the object it is advertising.
