The Bible says that Satan will be cast into a Bottomless Pit for a thousand years. Revelation 20:1-3. At the time of the final Judgment, he will be cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone for ever. Revelation 20:10.

Nothing, beyond the description of the temporary place of Satan's confinement as bottomless, speaks of the depth of Hell, but the description more tells of its eternal nature and its torment.

Is Satan mentioned in the Koran?

Yes of course! In the Quran Satan is mentioned and his story of how he got Adam and Eve to get out of Heaven. We are told to beware of him and not to trust him. For if we do we are surely going to hell.

Is Satan the facilitator in hell?

Satan is not the facilitator in hell. In fact he fears hell because hell is the place of torment for him and his angels and for sin. Since he doesn't want to go to hell, yet he cannot escape this, he tries so much to take along with him what God treasures - man. He will deceive man and make man love sin, be one with sin so that man would be identified with sin so that when sin is thrown in hell man will go along with it. Answer: Judaism does not have a concept of hell, a place of eternal damnation, nor is one mentioned in the Torah (OT). It does have gehanim a place were a soul might be sent, for a maximum of a year, to be cleansed of it sins. Judaism's concept of a Satan is any Angel whose mission in this world is one that we would perceive as bad. A Satan has no other special attributes or power. A Satan is a loyal servant of G-d, as are all Angels. ANSWER No. Hell is not a fiery place where bad people or unbelievers go to be tortured by fire for eternity. Hell is death with no hope of resurrection. If one understands the condition of the dead (conscious of nothing and doing nothing) then it would be clear that Satan cannot "facilitate" anything in hell because it is a place of inactivity.

Where did Satan get the keys?

According to Christian tradition, the keys of hell are believed to be in the possession of Jesus Christ, not Satan. The New Testament states that Jesus has the keys of death and Hades (hell), which symbolize his power and authority over these realms.

If you commit suicide do you go straight to hell?

Some say so. I think the threat is to dissuade people from suicide, particularly when it's the result of depression, which is treatable. Many people who do commit suicide are mentally ill and not considered responsible for their actions.

Where did fallen angels go?

the devil himself was an arch angel until he challenged God because he wanted to have heaven as his own.Satan gathered other angels in heaven who felt the same as he did and challenged God to battle for heaven. God sent saint Michael and the rest of heavens angels to battle Satan and his "angels".saint Michael won the battle and drove Satan out of heaven and Satan fell down to hell along with all the "angels" that challenged God.

If Satan was forced to leave heaven because he committed sin and rules hell why would he punish the sinners because they only did as he did?

Answer 1First of all, according to the Bible, Satan was forced to leave Heaven, not Hell. Second, Satan will not punish people in Hell. He will himself be punished in Hell, along with everyone else who ends up there. There are many misconceptions about these things that are often portrayed on TV and in magazines, etc. Another fallacy is that Satan is ruling Hell. The Bible does not teach this. It does teach that there are demons that are following Satan right now, on Earth, but once they are in Hell, they will not have a kingdom of any kind. They will be suffering.Answer 2Satan LIKES to see people suffer. He longs to take revenge on God. If you go to hell you cannot go back..Catholic AnswerNobody is forced, and hell is not a place. Hell is the state of being alienated from God, and Satan chose this of his own free will. In other words, there was no hell before Satan created it by rejected God. Satan does not "rule" hell, again, hell is not a place, hell is eternal suffering because one has rejected the only thing which will fulfill one - and that is God. Satan endures hell, he suffers hell, and he hates God so he tempts humans into choosing hell and rejecting God because he hates God and is attempting to frustrate God's plans.

Who is in charge of hell?

I think I've heard somewhere that god is the ruler of both Hell and Heaven, however, I know for a fact that Satan was sent to Hell to perish and rot for all of eternity.

What reason does Satan gives for choosing to reign in hell rather than serve in heaven?

Satan says "To reign is worth ambition, though in Hell: Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven".

What does reign in hell mean?

"To reign" means to rule over, and "hell" is the Christian religious place of punishment. Hell is ruled by Satan or Lucifer, also called The Devil. This is part of a quote from a famous book about Hell, and refers to Satan ruling over his kingdom of Hell.
