How do you you get the Holy Ghost?

Hello, you don't get the Holy Ghost he's there always for us. We are the ones that the Holy Ghost has trouble getting because we stray from our faith. If you pay attention to your life you'll have evidence that he's always been there. SELAH!

HI comming from an apostolic christian church of god i dont agree with the above answer. the holy ghost can dwell with you always, thats if you are baptised with it. but you can get it in the sense that it can come down and temporarily take over you. the only way you will get it is to pray to god with your heaRt for it. and call the holy ghost to come. but if you dont believe in the bible it wont come as the holy ghost goes by The Bible as the connexion to man . and also you need to believe Jesus Christ is your saviour. WITH YoUR hearT. ask to be anointed with the holy spirit and keep praising till it happens. but be prepared its a sight.

The second person is absolutely right! The Holy Ghost will abide in you but first there are some things you must know You must repent ask God to forgive you of your sins. That means stop sinning and never turn back to sinning you must live a righteous and holy life. Then you get baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission(complete elimination) of sins and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. You dont get baptized in father son Holy Ghost because the bible says Go Baptizing in the name of the father son and Holy Ghost the name. What's the the name of the father? Jesus. What's the name of the son? Jesus. What's the name of the Holy Ghost? jesus. Father,Son Holy Ghost are nothing but titles because Jesus is The Father in Creation, The Son in Redemption, And THE HOLY GHOST in the Church. Then you must tarry(wait) on the Holy Ghost. How do you wait on the Holy Ghost? Through "Prayer and Supplication." The bible says " And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the lord(which is Jesus) shall be saved. So you keep sayin jesus over and over and you must mean every bit of what you're saying, thinking, and doing because in the bible the scripture says " That the people will speak with new tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance." and there's another that says " For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people." And that's the evidence of you getting the Holy Ghost Speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance. you can't speak in tongues yourself, God has to do it. And this constitutes the new birth of being adopted into God's Royal Family. I am not saved yet myself but I am working on myself to get there. It is a fight to get to heaven it is a Suffering way. It wont be easy but in the end you will have eternal rest if you get saved but if not hell a place of eternal fire and torment where the souls won't die neither have rest but burn for the rest of eternity will be your home and show this to somebody that they might also get saved.

Hi....just wanted to add a note for clarification.....it is not a requirement that you be baptized with water before recieving the Holy Ghost...in Acts 10:44-48 Cornelius and his house were filled with the Holy Ghost before water baptism...God's first requirement is that you believe...and remember the Holy Ghost is not something we earn or even deserve for that matter but a precious gift from our awesome God...o and I too have witnessed people recieve the Holy host before baptism in this day and time....just wanted to provide scripture to back it up :)...

The church that i came from is world of life Apostolic center, i have seen many people receive the holy ghost, i am a witness because i received it. the way you get the the holy ghost is to go into a prayer and speak to God with your heart and faith ask god what you want. GOd said if you seek you shall find if you ask you shall receive when you want the holy ghost beforeyou do anything start praying and repent for sins, then believe that god has forgivin you then after that just worship god from your heart you have to want god more then water.
