Yes. They are called weight tapes and I believe you can purchase one at your local feed store or agricultural supplier.

You don't calculate a linear foot, you measure it. Just take your tape measure and go from one end to the other.
I used to use duct tape and tape the end hook of the tape measure blade to the end of the pipe and then mark the length I needed for many years. I recently found a tape measure with a special hook that made my life easier and now I complete projects faster. its called pipe friendly tape measure made by tekforce. I give them two thumbs up for this great invention.
Lengths - in units that are marked on the tape measure.
Ex.: ruler, caliper, micrometer, special microscope, graduated tape, etc.
With a weight scale or with a special weight tape.

A yard stick or a tape measure will measure linear distances: that is lengths in one dimension only. There is no specific tool for measuring area: you need to calculate area from the linear measures using various geometric formulae.

You could measure weight with a spring scale, unless you mean mass, which you would measure with a laboratory balance. You would measure time with a stop watch, and height with a meter stick.
Using a weigh tape can help you calculate the weight of your horse. You put it around his belly and the tip of the first edge rsts against his weight on the weigh tape. If he's on the corect feed and is normal weight, you'll know what he weighs. Thank you!
