One solution is talking to someone. I saw a Yahoo question by a user named Demius. They said they had negative thoughts due to depression. I am not calling out names to be mean. I am doing it because I hope that if they read this, they will know I am talking about them. I care for you. I am very proud that those who have depression or any other problems have came to others for advice. That is a very brave thing to do because some people do not want to because they do not know what will happen. Demius and anyone who is depressed or suicidal, I love you. i understand life is tough but life is cruel no matter who you are but we are mankind and we have to work together to show life that it cannot bring us down. Demius, think of what will happen to your mother and sister if you kill yourself. You said they care for you. You do not want to hurt them. Even though anyone who is reading this is a stranger, I still love you because you are my brothers and sisters. Remember this message.
Suicide occurs every 40 seconds some where in the world
Some people may leave suicide notes as a way to explain their reasons for taking their own lives and provide closure to their loved ones. It can also be a way for individuals to express their deepest emotions and thoughts before they die. However, not all individuals who die by suicide leave notes, as everyone's experience and motivations are unique.
The International Suicide Prevention Wiki features a pretty complete list of suicide hotlines by area. That can be found here: http://suicideprevention.wikia.com/wiki/International_Suicide_Prevention_Directory
In some countries, suicide is illegal. In the UK for example it is also illegal to fail to prevent a suicide you knew was going to take place. Failing to prevent a suicide you knew was going to happen in the UK and some other countries can get you charged with the offence of "Assisted Suicide" or "Suicide Accomplice". Although suicide is illegal in some countries, the individual will not face criminal arrest. Instead they will be summoned to attend counselling and medical procedures to help them overcome the suicidal thoughts. However, if the individual continues to attempt suicide or fails to show for a summoned counselling session, a warrant may be issued for your arrest in some countries. For example, under the Mental Health Act of the UK, you can be arrested and imprisoned within a specialist psychiatric hospital if you are believed to be a serious risk to yourself.
"Suicide watch" is a term used to describe a situation where a person has attempted suicide or it is believed that a person may have reason to harm themselves. In some cases, the person is placed in a "safe room" which is virtually empty, with only a paper thin gown. Some suicide watches are more inhumane than others. A suicide watch usually occurs within an institutional setting such as jail, prison, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, etc... but friends or family who are aware of the signs of suicide may conduct their own brand of suicide watch in order to protect their loved one from harming themselves.
