There are no good reasons. People kill themselves over moments of depression, when they cannot think of any way to solve their problems.
Not all suicide attempts are successful, so we can actually know what people were thinking at the moment. For example, a man jumped off of the Golden Gate Bridge, and survived. Afterward, he said that he couldn't think of any way to solve his problem, so he jumped - and immediately realized that the problem wasn't that serious, that he knew exactly how to handle it, and that his biggest problem was that he'd just jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge!
Any time you think about suicide, take a step back, realize that you don't have to solve these problems alone, right now, and that there are a million people who would be willing to help you to deal with this problem - later tonight, tomorrow, next week, and maybe the problem will just go away.
Call those people. "Suicide Prevention" is in every phone book, and you can call 24/7/365 - at ANY time - and ask for help. Siri and Google also have all the numbers, so sit down, pick up your phone, and CALL, already.
Yes He does (but only for Christians-God is not a Universalist): Suicide is a sin, it is self-murder, but God forgives allsin, except one - sinning against the Holy Spirit. (However, if you fear you have committed that sin, then you haven't. )
Tantamount to suicide means equivalent to suicide.
If there are suitable custodial figures within the family -- a surviving spouse, parents, they can petition that the childrens' custody revert to them. Without such available custodians, custody of minor children will typically resort to the State. As to the trauma of suicide for surviving kids, the results depend a lot of the age and maturity of the child. Children too young to comprehend will be effected later in life, but may remain somewhat unscathed. However, children who comprehend the act (or worse, witness it or it's aftermath) are typically traumatized. The extent of this damage can range from what I'd call moderate all the way to very extreme, In any case, suicide often casts a shadow on the remainder survivors' lives.

No one knows for sure. Not even Alex and his family know for sure the true reason as to why he took his own life.

No. We can't answer if you should marry a certain someone and personal things like that. Those question usually get trashed as a "Need to provide more information" question. We also don'tprovide information on how to do committ crimes or committ suicide or peoples personal addresses and phonenumbers/email/usernames.Not always, some questions are either too stupid or so poorly written that they simply can't be understood.
