What does a gear box on a wind turbine do?

The gear box increaces the rotational speed from about 30-60. The gear box is very costly and heavy.

Why in nano car engine is placed in rear?

The system is simpler with less parts, therefore less costly. Engine in front, front drive adds the complication of having to steer the driven wheels. Engine in front, rear drive adds the requirement for a driveshaft, and the second gearbox for the differential.

What equipment can be used to hold and support the workpiece?

Depending on the size and volume of the workpiece. Vee blocks are used alot in machining, G-clamps are good for plate. A vice could be used for more heavy work pieces. Jigs and fixturing are a very good practice but are extremely costly to produce.

What is injection molding?

Injection molding is a commonly used manufacturing process for the fabrication of plastic parts. the injection molding process need injection mold and injection machine.--------------------------------------------------------Injection molding is a manufacturing process for producing parts from both thermoplastic and thermosetting plastic materials. Material is fed into a heated barrel, mixed, and forced into a mold cavity where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the mold cavity. After a product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, molds are made by a moldmaker (or toolmaker) from metal, usually either steel or aluminium, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection molding is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts, from the smallest component to entire body panels of cars.the following is a photo of the injection molding process:http://www.vulcanmold.com/article/Plastic-Injection-molding-process.htmlA Hollow mould is made from steel in several parts. when the mould is all together the hollow within it is the same shape as the object you wish to produce. The mould is water cooled to keep its temperature under control. molten plastic is forced into the mold at high pressure. it is left to cool for a specified period of time, then the mold is pulled apart in such a way that the object falls out of the mould and the whole thing starts all over.

What is an injection mold tool?

An injection mould tool is the tool that a material is injected into to make an injection moulding. Typically this is a thermoplastic although other materials can be formed using injection moulding. The rest of my answer relates to plastic injection moulds as this is my area of expertise. Mould tools are pretty costly precision machined items. As well as machining out the form of the component that is required (with a shrinkage factor as plastic shrinks after it is injected into the tool) they also have to include some form of ejection system to enable the part to be removed from the mould (typically an arrangement of pins that are moved by a hydraulic action on the injection moulding machine) and some method of heating/cooling to control the temperature of the mould (typically drilled channels in the tool to allow water or oil at a preset temperature to pass through the tool although electric heaters can be used (an inferior system in my opinion but can be cheaper)) Depending on the geometry of the part to be made tools can incorporate various "actions" which are basically bits of tool that move either before, during or after the tool opens. These can either be powered by hydraulics or by the movement of the tool as it opens. Tools can be made from Aluminium for low volume or prototype moulds, pre-toughened steel (P20) for mid volume (up to a few million parts)or hardened steel. In reality the choice of tool material is largely dictated by the choice of plastic, glass filled materials and high temperature materials tend to be very aggressive and a P20 tool may only last for a few hundred parts with the most aggressive materials.
