What is used economizer in centrifugal chiller

Since sufficient feedwater is not supplied into the economizer though the heat is absorbed from flue gas at the boiler start-up and low load operation, steaming may occur in the economizer. Therefore the economizer recirculation line is provided between the furnace downcomer and the economizer inlet feedwater piping. This line provides the recirculation flow between the drum, the downcomer and the economizer so as to prevent steaming in the economizer. Economizer recirculation valve is only opened at initial stage of the boiler start-up.
deaerator is a device used to remove dissolved oxygen and carbondi oxide in boiler feed water. it causes scaling inside the boiler tubes and economizer also.
Impeller make the flow has velocity in a centrifugal pump. The purpose of pump is increasing the pressure. The flow has velocity envergy via impeller and the energy change to pressure energy in diffuser.
The principles used in producing comfort cooling in window air conditioners and multi-stage centrifugal chillers are fundamentally similar, as both rely on the refrigeration cycle, which includes evaporation, condensation, compression, and expansion. However, the scale, efficiency, and complexity differ significantly. Window air conditioners are designed for smaller spaces and operate on a simpler, single-stage system, while multi-stage centrifugal chillers are designed for larger applications, utilizing multiple stages for higher efficiency and greater cooling capacity. Additionally, centrifugal chillers often incorporate advanced controls and configurations to optimize performance in larger systems.

My opinion. Carrier centrifugal chiller. First put in service in the teens of the nineteenth century.
A surge in a centrifugal chiller is typically caused by a sudden drop in evaporator pressure or an increase in the flow resistance within the system, leading to insufficient refrigerant flow through the evaporator. This condition can result in a loss of refrigerant vaporization, causing the compressor to operate inefficiently. Other contributing factors may include improper refrigerant charge, excessive heat load, or mechanical issues such as worn bearings. Addressing these issues promptly is crucial to avoid damage to the chiller and maintain optimal performance.
The average lifespan of a centrifugal chiller typically ranges from 15 to 25 years, depending on factors such as maintenance, operational conditions, and usage patterns. Proper maintenance and timely repairs can extend the lifespan, while neglect can lead to earlier failures. Additionally, advancements in technology and efficiency may prompt upgrades or replacements before reaching the end of the typical lifespan.

Economizers (US), or economizers(UK/international), are mechanical devices intended to reduce energy consumption, or to perform another useful function such as preheating a fluid. The term economizer is used for other purposes as well. Boiler, power plant, and heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) uses are discussed in this article. In simple terms, an economizer is a heat exchanger.
Screw chiller running with a male & female blade,Centrifugual chiller running with an impeller. Screw chiller are very reliable on more load like more than 200 tr ,its less consumption comapare to other chillers.
A centrifugal chiller works by using a refrigerant to absorb heat from a building and then expel it outside. The process begins with the refrigerant being drawn into the evaporator, where it absorbs heat and evaporates into a gas. This gas is then compressed by a centrifugal compressor, increasing its pressure and temperature. Finally, the hot gas passes through the condenser, where it releases heat to the outside air and condenses back into a liquid, ready to start the cycle again.
Fins are a relatively easy and inexpensive way to increase the heating surface of an economizer. By utilizing fins it is possible to reduce the economizer footprint while achieving the desired performance.
Economizer is a device in which the waste heat of the fuel gases is utilized for heating the feed water.
